Dreaming of catching a 6 lb. German Brown trout? Or the elusive native Apache? Join us in northern Arizona for some spectacular fishing opportunities! We will set you up with our very experience local outfitter to put you in the backyard of some of Arizona’s up-and-coming record fish! Our local outfitter has intimate knowledge of many of the blue-ribbon fisheries; therefore, we can provide optimal location choices for your Fish Camp. Also, due to Arizona’s relatively mild winters and beautiful “northern summers,” clients can fish practically year-round!
Our clients can expect a fully furnished Base Camp, set up within walking or hiking distance of their preferred lake or reservoir. Daily breakfast, dinner, and packed lunches are available upon request. Fisherman can land a variety of trout in a single day in some of our “honey-holes,” which allows them to participate and/or complete our “Arizona Trout Challenge Program” recognized by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
The majority of our trout fisheries lie along the lakes, rivers, and streams of the Mogollon Rim and the White Mountains. These fisheries are nestled among sprawling ponderosa pines, oak, juniper and blue spruce forests. That being said, most of our pristine locations are for the rugged do-it-yourself fishermen. The Base Camps will be set up near waterways that are quite remote and access to these locations requires a high-clearance vehicle. Clients should plan for “Mountain Weather” and layer their apparel accordingly. Hiking from camp to these destination lakes can be unpredictable, dangerous, and also incredibly fulfilling; so use caution with your choice of footwear, gear, and all around safety so that you may make the most out of these beautiful, relaxing fishing environments!
Our outfitters will provide a Base Camp with all necessary equipment for a most relaxing and enjoyable camping experience. A 12′ x 20′ Outfitter Tent with floor and windows, camp cots, pads, chairs, woodstove (spring/fall), lanterns, and sleeping bags* will keep all our clients warm, dry, and comfortable. The camp will be supplied with chairs, tables, two-burner propane stove, lanterns, food, water, portable latrine and portable shower. Any other provisional requests will be considered for an additional fee.
Clients are responsible for sleeping bags and all personal gear and amenities, including fishing gear (rods, reels, line, tackle, etc.) Float tubes are available for an additional fee; waders are NOT provided. Clients MUST purchase a license to fish. Licenses can be obtained ONLINE through Arizona Game and Fish: https://azgfdportal.az.gov/License Resident $37 Non-Resident $55.
